Notes: The folks behind us would not shut up throughout the entire show, so I don't know how great this is going to be. They were singing through it, guessing what song was coming next, talking so much they had to ask, "Wait, what did he say?" so listen at your own risk.

Notes: First act from the mezzanine, second act from the orchestra. You may be able to hear the women who helped themselves to the seats next to us 15 minutes before intermission talking through the end of Act 1. Likely some coughing throughout Act 2. There is a moment where I believe someone (Wade?) sang August's name a couple of times when it should have been Walter's, but I'm not 100% positive.

Notes: The girls behind us for the first act would not shut up. We moved seats for the second act, but were front row so there may be some distortion from the speakers. The Handbook falls into the hole and Beetlejuice does a little bit about the show being over before pulling another one out of the drawers.

Notes: Rushed down when I heard Dana was on for the weekend and she was absolutely phenomenal! Alex seems to be sticking with his second "Jason Derulo" throw-in. A few other fun choices I haven't seen/heard before, including a comment about the Kardashians (sorry, I can't remember where exactly but I think it was towards the beginning). The rule book also falls into the hole, leading Alex to say, "Well, happy Saturday. Unless.....? EXTRA BOOK!" The audience victim was a really great sport and stood up at the third callout to wave, earning his own round of applause.

Notes: The music was overpoweringly loud and seemed out of sync at times in person, I'm wondering if this was a new conductor. Alex lost his words in "The Whole Being Dead Thing" and just kind of spit out some noises in place of "'Gosh, it's awful, ain't it tragic?' Blah, blah, 'Bible Jesus' magic." He also either forgot to start one of his verses, or his mic went out, for "Whatever it takes..." in "Fright of Their Lives." The audience victim had his kids with him so instead of "That's three times!" Alex said, "And in front of his family!" The whole show felt slightly off with a ton of lines coming out with different intonations than I'm used to but it was still a great performance.

Beetlejuice - December 30, 2022 (Matinee) - M4a
Elliott Mattox (u/s Beetlejuice), Dana Steingold (u/s Lydia), David Josefsberg (Adam), Kerry Butler (Barbara), Leslie Kritzer (Delia), Adam Dannheiser (Charles), Zonya Love (Maxine Dean/Juno), Kelvin Moon Loh (Otho), Danny Rutigliano (Maxie Dean), Brooke Engen (u/s Girl Scout), Michelle Aravena (Miss Argentina)
Notes: Elliott's second show as Beetlejuice. He stumbled over "Christmas" in "The Whole Being Dead Thing" and something in the second song, as well. He also called Delia Jessica instead of Daphne, and then did the Elphaba riff as he was being carried off to Hell. I believe this was Dana's final performance as Lydia.

Beetlejuice - January 8, 2023 (Evening) - M4a
Alex Brightman (Beetlejuice), Elizabeth Teeter (Lydia), David Josefsberg (Adam), Kerry Butler (Barbara), Leslie Kritzer (Delia), Adam Dannheiser (Charles), Zonya Love (Maxine Dean/Juno), Kelvin Moon Loh (Otho), Danny Rutigliano (Maxie Dean), Dana Steingold (Girl Scout), Michelle Aravena (Miss Argentina)
Notes: Closing! Audience noise will definitely wash out some of the audio - there were plenty of extended applauses and standing ovations and lots of shouts from the crowd. Highlights include but are not limited to Alex singing "One last time in New York City" and "I did this bullshit like eight times a week" in "The Whole Being Dead Thing," saying "Nice moves Dog" instead of "Nice moves Lydia" during "That Beautiful Sound," and saying "Goodbye Broadway!" when leaving for the Netherworld and Adam composing himself and asking, "What the fuck does that mean?" Includes speech from director Alex Timbers.

Joel Hatch stopped the show in the beginning to thank everyone after the applause wouldn't die down. The audio gets slightly muffled in the middle, I'm not sure what happened there.

Notes: This was the second evening of a few where almost the whole cast was comprised of swings/emergency covers. Pearl Sun came back, they brought Marika in from her vacation from the tour (she made her Broadway debut the night before), and people were playing parts they’d never done before. It was a beautiful mess.
